Cody James Houle is a self-taught Anishinaabe artist based in Brantford. Raised in North Bay, Ontario, he overcame intergenerational trauma and colonialism, using art to express pride in his Indigenous identity. Active for five years, Houle's work includes abstract and woodland paintings. He believes in sharing art to inspire hope and encourages youth to create and express themselves.
